Yet another case is withdrawn

Its indeed a great relief to the people of Kenya as well as to the Governmnet of Kenya and the GEMA community as a whole to have yet another case withdrawn. The International Criminal Court has since withdrawn charges against President Uhuru Kenyatta. However, the court remains with two cases; that of Deputy President William Ruto and Radio Presenter Joshua Arap Sang. the prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, withdrew the case citing lack of adequate evidence to continue with the case.,

Leaders have congratulated the president and challenged him to perform his duties. The opposition has now called on the president to solve the issues facing the citizens with insecurity being top of the list.

In rememberance of Senator Kajwang

It's distressing to lose a friend, painful to lose a family member and a loved one and more distressing to lose a leader. The country has indeed lost a true leader and a patriot who devoted his time to serving the nation. Likewise, the family has lost a loved one, a darling of theirs and a mentor. The Orange Democratic Party and the CORD coalition has as well, lost a leader, an entertainer, an adviser, a darling and an influential personality.

Yet as the nation mourns the death of their son, there are cries of foul plays into the death of the Homa Bay Senator. The Late Kajwang’ was a mentor to many and the most inspiring leader of those who had a desire and a passion for politics. Indeed, he was the epitome of mobilization in the state as well as to the party.

Hon Kajwang’ is described as a personality who made Kenyan politics while both in and out of the system. Known for his song, “Mapambano,” he would charge the crowd and make the citizens lively. Nevertheless,  the song Mapambano could have gone silent last night at the Marter Hospital, never to be sung again by such a voice, but always will be a commemoration and a wake up call for Kenyans.
The senator was famed for his ability to whisk up the crowd emotions and his trademark, Bado Mapambano, and a whisk, was a wake up clarion to Kenyans.

The jovial senator, is said to have succumbed to cardiac arrest at Marta Hospital, however, the opposition members of parliament, have as well thought of a foul play in the loss of their fallen soldier.  Nonetheless,a post-mortem is expected to be conducted this morning on the late Senators body so as to have the pathologist determine the course of the death.

Effective leadership, the only way

Institutions can't guarantee us development in Kenya neither in Africa till we find the resolve to acquire a good leadership. Indeed, personalities in  the past regimes  set up institutions for their own gain and as every regime takes over the office, the previous institutions are taken down and new ones developed. It's thus necessary to develop a long lasting foundation that serves all and not personal issues.

I get a look at the current Kenya and Government and the call to censor a motion concerning Non-Governmental Organizations in the parliament are a honest move. Nevertheless, the feeling behind it makes it miserable. Censoring a motion in  parliamentary procedure to enforce development and accountability is a movement that is welcomed by all Kenyans despite the political association. Nevertheless, the Uhuru Governments’s move to sensor the motion so as to win protection from the ongoing ICC cases is merely merely a display of poor leadership and bad, corrupt administration.

Similarly, the political affiliation in Kenya that came as a consequence of the repealing of Section 2A, was a welcome move by all in the exercise of sound administration and democracy. Yet, to date, the political affiliations have been a cause of mayhem in the nation and have blocked the state from achieving discrete development. The in-fight by the UDF, ODM, THAN and WIPER  parties is indeed a deterrent to the growth of the country. A great deal of the legislator time is utilized in solving petty issues within the party and coalitions. Indeed, there is a demand for sobriety and diligence in dealing with disputes that originate inside the parties.
