UNITY ABOVE ALL FOR DEVELOPMENT

“In politics, there are no permanent enemies.” The say goes so. Truthful it is and indeed a reflection of what politics is. As a matter of fact, the political; differences are simply due to the difference in opinions. Attesting to this true fact is the relationship that subsists between the Kenyan politicians; among them Former Premier, Hon Raila Odinga, President Uhuru, Former DPM Musalia Mudavadi and Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka. 

Indeed History is the best teacher and without it, we cannot advance.  The date 25^th October still remains on the history books as the date the founding father, Jomo Kenyatta was attacked while in Kisumu to commission the opening of Russia hospital. At this fourth dimension, he was in the company of the then Vice President Hon Oginga Odinga. 

It is indeed shameful that to date, the nation leaders are divided and some don’t see eye to eye. It’s indeed time for the Kenyan leaders make a resolve and work together to develop and advance the nation. The rural area has indeed undergone several problems as a termination of the variances among the leaders with the best example being the 2007/2008 Post Election Skirmishes that claimed several lives. The need for a resolve to work together among the leaders is beyond no doubt,  the necessity for the state as a whole to aid and advance its dream of travelling beyond the todays’ development impasse.

Presently, the nation has parties and associations formed along tribal and ethnic lines. The translation and radicalization of the politics of development in the nation is by not chance a great impediment to the increase and progress of the state. In resolving to achieve the Vision 2030, the nation leaders and decision makers have to make this resolve to exercise in concert to promote integrity, sincerity, independence, democracy and participatory development.

Unity is indeed an essential for Development. In order to earn the international recognition, to earn respect globally, the nation leaders have to come up together, take disciplinary actions and look to it that they act together towards the growth of the country. The country needs to move out of the political mood that adjure it throughout the five years and work towards developing itself. Nevertheless, the Citizens and decision makers, need to acknowledge the fact that the time for politics is long gone. As a consequence, at that place is the demand to live with the opinion that it is time for the execution of the goals, objectives and blueprints that the nation has ahead of it to ensure the achievement of development plans.

Jubilees' plan to stop referendum push.

The ruling coalition has come up with plans to stop the referendum push by the Governors and the Opposition coalition. Speaking at the Parliament Buildings, the National Assembly Majority leader Honorable Aden Duale said that the country is not ready for a referendum and both the Governors and the Cord coalition should stop the call for a referendum.

Similarly, the other leaders allied to the ruling coalition including the Deputy President have stated that the nation is not ready to get into an election mode which i guess already it is in. Last week in a meeting attended by the Deputy President and leaders from Tanzania to commemorate the Mara events, the Leader of Majority in the National Assembly, Honorable Aden Duale, took onto the Bomet Governor, Honorable Isaac Ruto telling him off on his push for referendum and call for more money to be allocated to the counties.

The ruling coalition has also stated that it is going to discipline its leaders who are pro-referendum. This indeed places the Governors in a fix and some of them have already decamped from supporting the referendum drive.

The Gun Battle

Over the recent days this week, county assembly members and county leaders have engaged in fierce battles with the recent one being the Makueni event. This posses a question as to why leaders have to be in possesion of firearms.
However, with the latest events in Nandi county and Makueni county, the Members of County Asemblies countrywide are now demanding for firearms from the Uhurus' Government. Indeed, their demands are valid. One of the MCAs said that the Goverment should issue them with firearms just as other leaders are given security details with firearms.

Maina Njega delays Wife burial for Cord rally

Former Mungiki leader Maina Njega has postponed the burial of his wife and nephew so as to attend the Cord political rally in Tononoka grounds next Sunday. Hon Maina Njega will be accompanying the Former Prime Minister and Cord leader Raila Odinga to Mombasa next week.

The burial of Mellisa Wairimu Nyambere and Njega's nephew and driver, Dickson Mwangi Wanjiru, will be pushed from next Saturday June 21.

Rt. Hon Raila jets back

The Former Premier Hon Raila Odinga arrived to a rousing home welcome at Uhuru Park stadium from his supporters who were ready to usher him back home from his two months long stay away in the United States.The welcome rally by the coalition, has unveiled a series of programmes of rallies that will take place in several counties.

Millions of people thronged the Uhuru Park stadium to welcome back home the Former Premier and Cord Principal Raila Odinga. The jubilant crowd, never disappointed as they all marched to the stadium cheerfully and without much fear of insecurity. 

Nothing was taken to chance as the National security also ensured everything was okay and that the rally was peaceful. The Government, deployed several security men in the town and even at the town outskirts to ensure that there was no any form of fracas that would take shape. 

Former Vice President and Wiper Leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka has given the Jubilee Government a 60 day ultimatum to call the Opposition for a dialogue to discuss the way forward in dealing with the Insecurity challenges and the rising cost of living.

The Former Premier, Hon. Raila reiterated Kalonzos' remarks and stated that the Jubilee Government should sit down and think of what is to be discussed in the next 60 days. The Cord leaders stated that they were not happy with the administration of Uhuru Kenyatta and the way the coalition is handling the insecurity issues.

Ford Kenya leader and Bungoma Senator, Hon. Moses Wetangula and the fellow cord leaders demanded for the dismandment of the IEBC since the people had lost trust in the credibility of the Hassan led commission.

 

Former Premier set to jet in the country

The Former Prime Minister and Cord Leader, Hon Raila Odinga is set to jet into the country tomorrow after a two month long visit in the United States.

Ahead of his coming, the CORD Coalition has organized rallies and a welcome back party tomorrow, Saturday 31st May. with preparations in top gear, the coalition hopes to match to the airport to welcome back the father of Modern Democracy and the Flame of Freedom.

The opposition are however claiming that the Government is against their plans and have tried by all means to stop their welcome back rally. Speaking at the ODM Offices, Hon Orengo, a close ally of the Prime Minister, stated that they arent going to be cowed and that everythinmg is set in place. Cord Principals, Hon Moses Wetangula and Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, will lead the millions of people to the airport to receive Rt, Hon Raila Odinga.

The message that wasn't well welcomed by the police has received mixed reactions forcing the Inspector General, Mr. Kimaiyo to cancel the earlier orders of  the police to have all rallies cancelled. The coming back of the Premier, could be a force to reckon with as the Ruling Coalition already have some cold chills running down their spine.

however, the President acknowledged the fact that there is freedom of speech and that the Opposition coalition should be allowed to hold their rallies and even to critic the Government. Hon Muthama and Hon Evans Kidero have also stated that the rallies have to go ahead despite the Governments' call to outcall the rallies.  

With the high rate of insecurity and earlier information's on the Former Premiers' assassination, nothing is being taken to chance. the Uhuru Park will have its security beeped up as well as the Airport and the Jogoo road that Hon. Raila is to use to the Rally. The Premier is also having been seen to have beeped up his security  as he was spotted with a serious arm of the FBI intelligence security while in USA and while in Dubai where he is on a three day visit.

The President visited Eldoret town on Wednesday and treatd the residents and hawkers to a rare show of his motorcade and chase cars. Uhuru who made several stopovers at the town, spoke to the multitude of hawkers who had welcomed him in the town.

suprisingly enough, Deputy President, Hon Ruto was missing in action and was said to be chairing a meeting in Nairobi. The Deputy Prwsident who hails from the town has over the days been criticized by the area residents to be working for the Jubilee coalition fo his own selfish gains.

But even as the President promised to return with Ruto. we are yet to see if that will work out. The region has not been happy with the way the coalition runs the government and Pro-Raila chants could be heard as the President talked to the people.
