THE POLITICAL FUTURE OF MUDAVADI
This guy, Mr. Musalia Mudavadi, a husband to Tessy Mudavadi,
hails from the western Kenya and from western province. He is currently the
Deputy Prime Minister in the coalition Government and the member of parliament for
Sabatia Constituency. He is a well endowed luhya man with chubby cheeks. The luhya
man has decided to venture into politics that has in the past been referred to
as a ‘dirty’
game. Even as he hopes to earn from this field, it hasn’t been easy for him as
he has been facing serious storms, some that he has brought down and most of
them that have brought him down almost to the ground if not leaving him lying down
horizontally on the ground.
The man I describe as a political sycophant, is facing
serious political crisis in this political field and era. I tend to think that
he is one of the people who are trading on a dangerous road as he faces serious
decisions to make without a vast knowledge of what the future holds for him in
this field. The Deputy Prime Minister, who was once a member of the Orange
Democratic Movement Pentagon at once was the ODM point man in the western
province but has presently, lost the western support even at his home ground in
Sabatia constituency. As a matter of fact, he has been facing roadblocks and is
likely to be locked up in a dilemma and a political oblivion.
Mr. Mudavadi who made a walkout from ODM early this year in
the month of February, was the running mate to the Premier In the 2007 disputed
elections. However, he has recently expressed Interest in the Kibaki Succession
and promising to beat his once and major ally, Hon Raila in the coming 2013
general elections. The DPM had not been anticipated to walk away from his
friend went out and formed the United
Democratic Forum (UDF) that he was going to use to pursue his presidential
ambitions without opposition since he knew that it was difficult to win the
delegates support as they were in support of the premier’s presidential ambitions.
And therefore being that the premier had a good track record that spoke on his
behalf, he enjoyed majority support from most of the delegates if not all and
thus Mudavadi opted to give some flimsy reasons so as to walk out.
The DPM has recently joined the JUBILEE ALLIANCE about three weeks ago, with a major aim of
fighting against the premier who was once his great ally. The alliance which
has been named UHURUTO has recently involved the DPM so as to give it a
national outlook but I tend to think that the latter has no great say in the
alliance as he is just but a compromise candidate. Even after joining the
alliance, things are still not working in his favour as he has not been granted
the presidential nomination as he was promised earlier as they were signing the
deal with Uhuru and Ruto. It is therefore true that the DPM is facing a
political oblivion. I had earlier anticipated that he would not work
with the likes of Uhuru and Ruto who are ICC suspects and just a day ago, he
came to the limelight and walked out of the alliance barely just three weeks
after he striked a deal with the two partners, citing discontentment with the
alliance top organs and principles as he had done in ODM. The DPM, who had a
great future in ODM, is now locked up and is likely to be politically dead or
in a political ICU but I still tend to believe that he can make a comeback to
his great political career but maybe only if he joins the Orange Democratic
Movement that has recently formed the CORD ALLIANCE and commands a great
support in the western province and even in his constituency.
It is true that the reason why flies are buried in graves is
because they lack someone to advice them and I want to postulate that the same works on the DPM. I think that he has lacked
someone appropriate to advice him not
unless there are ‘dark forces’ that surround a term normally used by his fellow
DPM, Uhuru Kenyatta. I also want to note that there are MP’s who have been on the forefront to misadvise the
DPM ,the likes of Bony Khalwale( referred to as his personal adviser), who are ‘young babies’ in the political field and are not
well endowed with making right decisions and have perfectly managed to sway this
polite looking man towards a wrong direction.
I strongly postulate that Mudavadi can be resuscitated and
brought back to where he belongs that has always been referred to as ‘home’. He
possums that he is in the right path yet he isn’t. All that he has to do is to
do some soul searching and get back on track otherwise I promise him that his
political future is doomed. And as a matter of fact, the ODM delegation and
fraternity, has always sent a message that he is always welcomed to make a
comeback just as the prodigal son did.
