Hassan Ali Joho is a Kenyan politician from the Coast
Province. He was born on 26th April 1976 and is married to Madina
Joho with whom they are blessed with three children.
Hon. Joho made his first entry into Kenyan politics in the 2007
disputed presidential elections after clinching the Kisauni parliamentary seat
on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket. He represented the Kisauni
constituency residents for the period 2008 – 2013 after which he declared his
interest for the newly provided positions of Governor by the new constitution.
He luckily managed to secure the Governor position on an ODM
ticket in the hotly contested Mombasa Gubernatorial race. He won with a
landslide victory, to become the first ever Governor for Mombasa County.
He is a young Brilliant Governor with a great vision for the
county. He has a vision of making Mombasa County a vibrant modern regional
commercial hub, with a high standard of living for its residents.
