Uhuru to make a two-day visit to Nyanza
The announcement of the visit by the president to the Nyanza
province early March, is a welcomed move. The region that overwhelmingly voted
for the Cord Coalition presidential candidate, Rt. Hon Raila Odinga and Kalonzo
Musyoka, must rise above all sorts of political inequality and inferiority and
embrace the leadership of his Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The president will be visiting the region of course for a
second time since assuming office, to monitor the development projects that are
on course as well as meet the leaders of the region to discuss their agenda for
the region.
Again, it wont be suprising to hear peoples analogy that the
president is visiting the region to woo the people of Nyanza province. Politics
could as well play its role during the visit just as during the funeral of the
late KNUT secretary, Okuta Osiany, in which the president had also come to pay
his last respects.
The president is expected to visit Kisumu county, Migori
county, Homa Bay and Kisii counties during his two day visits to inspect all
the development projects.
