COALITION FOR REFORM AND DEMOCRACY'S POLITICAL TRIGGER

THE CORD’S TRIGGER

With the race to state house intensifying, several coalitions have been formed but among them, the CORD ALLIANCE, that has been referred to as ‘collabo ya power’ by the Sport’s Minister Hon. Ababu Namwamba, has sent a very powerful trigger to see it carry the day come 4th March 2013 in round one with an aim of acquiring more than eight million votes. The coalition that has merged several parties being the: Orange Democratic Movement(ODM), Wiper Democratic Party(WDP), Ford Kenya (Ford-K), PDP of Omingo Magara, TIP TIP of Kalembe Ndile, Muungano party, Chama cha Uzalendo, Kaduu Asili, Mkenya Solidarity Party of Maina Njega and the Kenya Social Congress set up a technical team to harmonize their party manifestos so as to be more united.

The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD), has once more showed up that they enjoy the support from the majority Kenyans to triumph the 2013 General elections. The alliance that was on a two day retreat on Thursday, 20/12/12 and Friday, 21/12/12 at the Great Rift Valley lodge in Naivasha, were set to unveil their political line up for the 2013 coming elections. The Collabo ya Power, is set to settle certain issues as it ascend to power next year. Some of the issues that are to be settled by the alliance are

Ø  land disputes

Ø  ethnic wars

Ø  unemployment

Ø  economic development

Ø  illiteracy

Ø  problems faced by the disabled

Ø  poverty

Ø  insecurity

Ø  infrastructure

Ø  ICC referral  cases

The alliance has also anticipated implementing the police reforms in line to the new constitution just as honourable Sugo said.

The trigger that has just been pulled a day ago, has already began making an impact on the likely direction the nation is headed to. It is notable to say that the Muslim fraternity from all over the country are now convinced that this is the winning camp and just after the alliance unveiled its line-up, the Muslim leaders made a visit to the prime Minister at his home. However, the pulled trigger has also caused a political animosity and unrest to the other alliances.

The eloquent and intelligent trade minister, Hon Moses Wetangula, when speaking, never failed to record that true change had come and that the time for a great political breakthrough had finally dawned with the inception of the alliance.

The Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka when making his remarks at the venue, defended his shuttle diplomacy to defer the ICC cases to the Kenyan courts. The Vice President said that it was important for them to set aside their personal prejudices first and put Kenya first. He also noted that the CORD alliance was not based on tribal lines and that the alliance could not be wavered by any storm. He also noted and I quote, the journey to bringing change has been long. But it’s still long since we have to do some work of wisdom.”

The Right Honourable Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, took an oath as Kenyans witnessed, promising to take the mantle and the work that the Kenyans have entrusted him with. He also took this time to ask the DPM, Musalia Mudavadi to come back home and join the winning camp. The PM, who is well versed for Kitendawili, never left the stage before thrilling his fanatical supporters and followers with a Kitendawili, ‘Tamaa ilimwua fisi. Lakini sahau ilimwua nani...............ilifanya ngiri ikashikwa .’.the PM, said that it was now time for real change  and the pilot had now got in and that they had now set to their destination and that as a pilot, he will make sure the plane gets on air.

The unveiling of the coalition’s line-up saw the rally that was touted as  the beginning of a grand march to the statehouse, unveil The Right Honourable Prime Minister, Raila Odinga  as the CORD flag bearer , The Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka as his Running Mate and trade minister  Hon Moses Wetangula  as the senate majority leader.

The intellectual leaders, had a positive deliberations that bore fruit and saw His Excellency the Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and trade minister Hon Moses Wetangula  step down in favour of the Prime Minister.mr Kalonzo, made a historic remarks as he said, “RAILA AMETOSHA” just a decade after The Premier said, “KIBAKI TOSHA” at the same Uhuru Park grounds.

  1. the trigger by the alliance has sent some fears among the other alliances and this is a reason why mudavadi is now rushing to the registrar so as to look at his party's issue with the jubilee alliance
