Former Cabinet minister and Homa Bay Senator is dead. The Orange
Democratic Movement leader, passed on Tuesday night following a fight for his
life with cardiac arrest. The ODM spokesperson, Hon Philip Etale confirmed the
death shortly after midnight.
According to the spokesperson, the Homa bay senator passed
on while undergoing treatment at Marter hospital, Nairobi where he had been
rushed to. In a message sent by the spokesperson on Facebook, he wrote, “Sad to
have lost Senator Otieno Kajwang'. It is by the will of God that Senator had to
depart from our midst at this time,"
Likewise, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen shortly
posted on his twitter handle a post announcing the death of the ODM Senator. He tweeted,
"So shocked that my colleague and friend Senator Kajwang' has passed on
.Will remember him as passionate and eloquent debater. A man full of life and
humour,"
